CUSCO
Its name in Quechua means "navel or center of the world" and
thats just what the Cusco is, because at that time was the
capital of the Inca Empire and as capital represented not
only political control but also the main place of worship
and ritual.
Cusco is a mixed city: where gorgeous colonial buildings
were built on the foundations of Inca stunning architecture.
Due to the beauty and cultural value of this city, in 1983
was declared Humanity Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and is
known as the Archaeological Capital of America. |

FD DISCOVERING SACSAYHUAMAN
Description:
Early morning, departure to Sacsayhuaman to discover the
most recent archaeological site found. A walk full of
amazing landscapes like the “X Zone”; 10 minutes from
the city of Cusco, it still remains mysterious and
indecipherable. Continue to Uñay Qenqo, named like this
because is very close to Qenqo and it is especial
because it is surrounded by forests. After Qenqo, we
proceed to Laqo, a place full of mysticism, is usually
used to perform rituals dedicated to the moon. Later,
visit Inquiltambo, enjoying the work of the Incas with
the details in their constructions. Our last stop,
Qallachaka, which is surrounded by beautiful terraces
with a unique biodiversity. On the way back to Cusco,
enjoy a delicious box lunch.

FD TREKKING IN THE HEIGHTS: HUCHUY QOSQO
Description:
We will leave Cusco at 8:00 am on a private bus that will
take us to Chinchero and then to Tauca, the starting point
of the trek. We will start the hike uphill through a
mountain landscape full of llamas and alpacas until you
reach the mountain pass at 4500 m.a.s.l. We will then
descend for approximately an hour and a half more to reach
the Inca archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo. This site was
built with 2 levels, it used to be a stop in the Inca route
to Lares. After lunch, we will continue descending to Lamay,
where a private bus will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.

2D/1N ANDEAN EXPERIENCE: CHINCHERO
Description:
Early morning departure for a unique experience in Chinchero
for 2 days visiting different communities. Once in
Chinchero, We will see an exhibition of textiles and dyes.
Then we proceed to enjoy a delicious lunch. In the
afternoon, we are ready to the recollection of plants for
the preparation of dyes. Overnight in the house of a local
people. Next day, after breakfast, we will visit the
communities of Umasbamba and Corcor. We will return to
Chinchero for lunch, in the afternoon we had fun doing dye
of textiles.
After a wonderful day, we return to Cusco.

HD JOURNEY TO THE SOUTH: RAQCHI
Description:
Raqchi was once an important destination for pilgrims. Its
massive rectangular layout is surrounded by four large walls
featuring two entries on the south side and an altar
opposite them. The outside of this complex is composed
of several warehouses and other buildings around the
temple that served as dwellings for priests, servants and
the populace. Inside the temple, there is a
longitudinal dividing wall made of delicately carved
stone and adobe bricks over 12 meters tall. The
internal structure is finished with 22 cylindrical
columns made of carved adobes supporting the roof of
the chamber. Its walls were plastered and painted red.
Alter this visit return to Cusco.

FD SMALL TREKKING IN CUSCO: CHINCHAYPUCLLO
Description:
Drive through the picturesque towns of Izcuchaca and
Zurite. Along the journey we will stop at a typical
local market, admire the beautiful nature and people
whose traditional cultures are alive today. We will
proceed through an unpaved road to visit Chinchaypucyo
main square and church.
Afternoon return to Cusco.
