SAT 15 LIMA / CUSCO

We will transfer you from your hotel to the airport, and provide assistance on your departure flight.

Upon arrival in Cusco, we will provide assistance and transport you to the Monasterio Orient Express Hotel.

In the afternoon:
We take a tour of the city, starting out at the Santo Domingo convent monastery. This former Colonial monastery was previously the Koricancha temple, one of the most important temples devoted to worship of the sun. According to the chronicles, it was covered in gold Leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Also included in the tour are stops at the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. After touring the most interesting sites of the city, you will be driven to the countryside outside Cusco to visit some of the remarkable Inca ruins in the area. Included are the cult centre of Sacsayhuaman, the temple and amphitheatre of Kenko, and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.

SUN 16 CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast at the hotel.

We will transfer you to the train for Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, you'll take a 25-minute motorcoach ride to the "Lost City of the Incas", discovered by American explorer Hiram
Bingham in 1911. Take a guided tours of the marvellous citadel visiting the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds.

Enjoy buffet lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge Hotel. Afternoon to continue visiting the citadel.

MON 17 MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel.

We strongly recommend that you wake up early to admire Machu Picchu in the morning. This is a once-in-a-lifetime sight. For hiking enthusiasts, we suggest a walk up to the peak of Huayna Picchu.

In the afternoon, you will return by train to Cusco and your hotel.

Upon arrival in Cusco we will transfer you from the train station to Monasterio Orient Express hotel.

 

TUE 18 CUSCO / LIMA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer from the hotel to the airport. Assistance on departing flight.

Upon your arrival in Lima, we will provide assistance at the airport to connect with your international flight or transfer to your hotel.
